Kevin Armstrong is senior public teacher, where he directs the Public Teaching component of the Project on Religion and Urban Culture. In this role, he helps civic and religious leaders better understand how religion shapes and is shaped by the urban culture. Armstrong is minister of faith and public life at North United Methodist Church, is active in numerous city and denominational activities, and regularly writes and speaks on issues of urban theology and ministry. In 1997, he was one of 15 national religious leaders selected by the Louisville Institute to receive a fellowship for the study of urban issues in England and the United States. He has a master of divinity degree from Duke University.
