Arthur E. Farnsley II directs the research component of the Project on Religion and Urban Culture. Farnsley holds an M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School and a Ph.D. in religion and society from Emory University. He is author of Southern Baptist Politics and a contributing author (with Nancy Ammerman) of Congregation and Community. His articles, opinion pieces, and book reviews have appeared in such diverse publications as The Christian Century, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Religious Studies News, Contemporary Sociology, and The Orange County Register.
