Dawn Parks is a research associate. She complies and analyzes data for the Project on Religion and Urban Culture and is in charge of setting up a text-analysis program used in sociological research. She is developing a comprehensive database that combines religion and community survey data from field research. She has interest in survey design, ethnographic data collection, and data analysis using SPSS and Nud*ist software packages. Before joining The Polis Center in 1997, Parks was a National Marine Policy Fellow with the U.S. Congress, Committee on Science, Space and Technology. She is a Ph.D. candidate in cultural anthropology at Indiana University.
