Lacey Bannon, GISP, CFM, is a GIS Project Coordinator with The Polis Center. Prior to her employment at Polis, Bannon worked for more than five years at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources as an environmental manager for the Division of Water. She also held positions with the Indiana Department of Transportation and a private mapping firm focusing on GIS and LiDAR development.
Bannon specializes in GIS data management and public outreach related to the National Flood Insurance Program. Some of her current projects include working with FEMA and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources on a DFIRM Modernization project and Risk MAP programs.
Since 2008 she has been a member of the Indiana Geographic Information Council’s Waters Workgroup which manages the new Local National Hydrography Dataset. She holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis.
