CTP Hazus-MH Capacity Building

This 2012-14 project was initiated for the purpose of building the capacity of the Risk MAP Cooperating Technical Partner (CTP) in Puerto Rico to perform Hazus-MH based risk assessments.   The out-of-the box Hazus-MH r.2.1 technology did not support most analysis functions for hurricane and flood modeling in Puerto Rico.

The project involved the creation of hazard definition inputs necessary to run Hazus-MH in Puerto Rico.  It also required the development of workflow tools and documents that illustrated how these datasets were created and how they could be maintained in the future. Training on the use of the Puerto Rico flood, hurricane, and earthquake scenarios was also provided.
