We are aiming for a soft launch of the Digital Encyclopedia of Indianapolis in March and will soon begin user testing and quality control. This soft launch will be the “quiet” phase in which we share the site with select groups of users, giving us a real-world test. Our goal is to unveil the site publicly in early summer, ideally with an in-person gathering and celebration of the end of the first phase of what will be a continually evolving source of information on the city. We created a short video presentation that provides an overview of the site, showing viewers various pages about people, places, timelines, and the atlas. Check it out here .
