Unai Miguel Andres

GIS & Data Analyst

Unai Miguel Andres is a GIS and data analyst for The Polis Center. He works in the Community Informatics team, focusing on geoprocessing data, data analysis, and data literacy. Unai joined Polis in June 2017 as a community informatics GIS technician and was promoted to his current position in October 2017. His expertise is in mixed methods research, GIS software (ArcGIS, Hazus-MH), and remote sensing applications (ERDAS Imagine).

Prior to joining Polis, Unai worked for the Muncie Food Hub Partnership, developing the Delaware County Food Security Assessment, and as a graduate teaching assistant in the Ball State University Department of Urban Planning. He holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a MS in Natural Resources and Environmental Management, both from Ball State University. Unai obtained his bachelor’s degree in environmental science with a focus on environmental policy and management from Lake Superior State University.
