The Polis Center received an $850,000 grant from FEMA, which will allow the center to continue its partnership with Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to develop and disseminate flood hazard data and program related tasks for multiple communities in Indiana. This award will focus on communities within four targeted watersheds and will start the process of updating the Flood Insurance Rate Maps for several counties within these watersheds. The Polis Center has been working with IDNR for over eight years on this program and is looking forward to continuing its efforts on behalf of the people in Indiana.
