Several students have joined our team working on multiple projects:

• • Seven students have joined our Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Cooperating Technical Partner (CTP) team for the 2020-2022 project to help QA/QC lidar-generated building footprints near streams. Andrew Heltzel and Joshua Pine are undergraduate students in Geography at IUPUI. Daniel Thang is an undergraduate student in SoIC’s Informatics program. Vindhyani Mallaram, Hari Priya Reddy, Fathima Afreeda, and Pooja Rani Goranakonda are graduate students in SoIC’s BioHealth Informatics (BHI) program.
  • Andrew Blackford is working on the Indiana Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) project (county plans). He is a senior at Valparaiso University majoring in Meteorology and minoring in math and GIS.
  • Harsha Vardhan Reddy is working on the Chemical Surveillance System project. He is a master’s degree student in Computer Science.
  • Miguel Llamas Estrada is helping transition SAVI tools to new geographies from the 2020 census. He graduated with a master’s degree in architecture and urbanism from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Queretaro, Mexico.

Alankrit Gupta is working as Data Analysis & Social Media intern. He is working on a master’s degree in Applied Data Science.
