Senior Research Project Manager
Kim Sarver, PMP, MSEE is Polis’ Senior Research Project Manager. Her responsibilities include the coordination of cross-functional teams and resources for multiple Polis projects with the nonprofit, government, academic, and healthcare sectors.
A professional project manager, Sarver’s background includes certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and training in agile project management methodologies. Her expertise comprises software development, product lifecycle, process improvement, collaborations/partnerships, and new program development.
Prior to joining The Polis Center at IUPUI, Sarver served as project consultant and lab manager with the Crossroads of America Council and as a senior project engineer with GM Powertrain in Indianapolis. She also worked with Chrysler and Ford Motor Company in Michigan. Sarver holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville. She has served on the Volunteer Committee for Women & Hi-Tech, initiated the pilot program for STEM Scouts (2015-2017) and is a member of the Alumni Chapters of Arlington High School and Tennessee State University, and PMI-Central Indiana.
