Business Manager

As the business manager for The Polis Center, Melissa is responsible for overseeing all financial transactions for the center. This includes creating budgets for grant applications and proposals, budgeting and forecasting for the executive director, budget construction for department, monitoring foundation accounts gifts and donations, all electronic fiscal entries in university financial system, attending administrative meetings and providing budgetary updates for project directors and staff, and human resource responsibilities, including hiring, payroll, review processes, etc. Melissa has over twenty years in the Geographic Information System industry with both administrative and production experience in managing conversion projects with large volumes of source materials and streamlining conversion processes on projects with accelerated project schedules. She graduated from IUPUI with an A.S. degree in Architecture Technology.
