Indianapolis has one of the most diverse school choice landscapes in the country. This makes it difficult to evaluate the need for school capacity in neighborhoods. Using data from Indianapolis’ unified enrollment system, Polis built a web app designed to help policymakers better understand school trends across Indianapolis. It shows school demand, quality, and demographics alongside neighborhood data to guide decisions about where to approve new charter schools.
