Biography
Bonnie VanDeventer is the Operations Manager at The Polis Center at Indiana University Indianapolis, where she leads operational strategy, resource planning, and process improvement to support the center’s mission of advancing community-based research and applied innovation. Alongside her operations work, Bonnie serves as the Engagement and Community Leadership Fellow at Luddy, where she advances cross-campus efforts to strengthen collaboration and community engagement. She brings over a decade of experience in higher education leadership, most recently serving as Associate Director of Academic Advising at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. In that role, she guided program development, academic advising strategy, and student success initiatives across rapidly growing degree programs. Her expertise spans organizational development, strategic planning, and project management, with a focus on aligning people and processes toward shared goals. Known for her thoughtful leadership and commitment to excellence, Bonnie brings a systems-minded approach to building effective, connected, and forward-looking organizations.
